Please Come to Boston: 10 must-see attractions in Beantown

I. Love. Boston.
When visiting Boston, there are several must-see attractions and activities that I think you should consider including in your itinerary. Here are just some of my top things to do when in Boston:

  1. Freedom Trail: Follow the 2.5-mile-long red-brick trail that takes you to 16 historically significant sites, including the Massachusetts State House, Paul Revere’s House, and the Old North Church.
  2. Fenway Park: Catch a baseball game or take a tour of the oldest Major League Baseball stadium in the United States, home to the beloved Boston Red Sox.
  3. Boston Common and Public Garden: Explore the oldest public park in the United States, Boston Common, and visit the adjacent Public Garden, known for its picturesque swan boats and beautiful flowers.
  4. The NorthEnd: Discover great restaurants, bakeries and shops in Boston’s Italian district. Table Boston is one of the neighborhood’s hotspots located on Hanover St. and run by owner/chef Jen Royle.
  5. Harvard University: Ok, so they wouldn’t let me in as a college kid, but I still can check it out. Take a stroll through the prestigious Harvard University campus in nearby Cambridge, known for its rich history, beautiful architecture, and Harvard Yard.
  6. New England Aquarium and IMAX Theatre: Get up close to marine life at the New England Aquarium, which features a Giant Ocean Tank, penguin exhibits, and interactive displays.
  7. Boston Harbor: Enjoy a scenic harbor cruise or take a ferry to the nearby Boston Harbor Islands, which offer hiking, picnicking, and stunning views of the city skyline.
  8. USS Constitution Museum: Learn about the history of “Old Ironsides,” the oldest commissioned warship afloat, and explore the interactive exhibits at the USS Constitution Museum.
  9. The Duck Tours: Take a guided tour of the city like you never have before. This tour of Boston is through the streets of Beantown, but then takes a turn when it heads into the Charles River. Yes, the Duck Boat is an amphibious vehicle that will provide you with views like you’ve never imagined.
  10. Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum: Step back in time and relive the famous Boston Tea Party at this interactive museum, where you can participate in a reenactment and learn about the events that led to the American Revolution.

These are just a few highlights of what Boston has to offer. The city also boasts a variety of excellent dining options, vibrant neighborhoods like the North End and Back Bay, and a thriving arts and cultural scene.
